In view of humanitarian, Detour 37 of Provincial Highway No.8 (Central Cross-Island Detour) only provides basic livelihoods such as emergency rescue and disaster relief for people in Lishan area.
Detour 37 of Provincial Highway No.8 (Central Cross-Island Detour) is currently extremely unstable, and landslide often occur. It is highly risky to go through this section, so It isn’t suitable to open to the outside world. It is necessary to strictly control traffic safety and manage the maintenance measures to prevent people from misunderstanding its functions and potential risks.
Detour 37 of Provincial Highway No.8 is open with both ends every 2 hours in principle.
It is open for 5 times everyday (7:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 14:30 PM, 16:30 PM currently). The opening hours are temporarily set as described above, and will be revised according to the needs of the passing people after implementation.
Every time it is opened, the folk security company will be responsible for the security of the traffic. The road will be closed due to bad weather, typhoon, heavy rains or earthquakes.
Heping Precinct assisted in installing patrol boxes at the two outposts in Guguan and Deji. You can apply for deployment support in advance when there are special holidays and conditions. In addition, if there are special circumstances, you can notify the police station can at any time. Online police officers will assist in handling immediately.
Provide access to people who are registered in the Dalishan area. For those people who are registered in the four district offices of Fengyuan, Shigang, Dongshi, and Xinshe and do work in the Dalishan area, they can be allowed to pass after the unified insurance and registration by the Taichung City Government.
Class B urban buses approved by the Taichung City Government may drive unspecified people on this detour.
People who are registered in Rongxing Village, Ren'ai Township should ask Ren'ai Township Office in Nantou County to coordinate the insurance, make a registration and send it for approval.
People who are not registered in Lishan, but do work or live in Lishan, please ask the Taichung City Government (the county or city government of the place you registered) to assist in confirming the registration, and then send it to the Guguan Branch of this office for approval.
The pass register is numbered in serial numbers, such as Feng-0000, Dong-0000, Shi-0000, Xin-0000, and -0000 (for other counties and cities). People use their numbers and identification documents (identity cards, driving licenses, health insurance card, etc.), and the controller will verify it.
For the transportation of livelihood products and agricultural products for people in Lishan, the freight company is entrusted with trucks. After getting insurance, the Taichung City Government will register and send it to the section for approval.
For the pass of public affairs, academic research and media interviews, the agency or department shall state the reasons, send the pass list for review and complete the insurance procedures before passing. After the approval of the review, the approval will be carried out according to the open time.
When it is necessary to pass due to a temporary emergency, please call the Guguan Branch. The road can be temporarily open after confirmation by the control station.
The clearance height of vehicles on this controlled road section is limited to 3.5 meters.
Due to the restriction of road width and radius of turn, the speed limit of this road is 25 km/h. One-way traffic regulation is carried out in different time periods.
The type of passenger car is restricted to sedan (less than 9 seats).
The type of truck is restricted to heavy trucks under 17 metric tons (both front wheels and rear wheels are single axle).
Keep a certain distance between cars (20 meters or more) when passing.
Turn on the headlights when entering the controlled road section.
Don’t honk the horn except emergency when driving on the controlled roads.
Turn on the warning light in case of an emergency when driving on the controlled road.
People in the car can’t get off and leave the controlled road.
Don’t move or interfere with traffic signs.
Carried items should be tightly covered or tied firmly.
Don’t do anything that may endanger road safety.
